Today I did something I had not done in a long time: Play airsoft.  While Matt Gabriel, the primary owner of the site, plays airsoft all the time, I do not get a chance to that much.  However, today my friend called me up and asked if I wanted to play, so  I did.

There were four of us; me (Justin), Kelsey, Erin, and Nick.  I know Kelsey from my old high school, and Nick was in a couple of my classes.  I did not know Erin.  Anyways, they all had automatic guns, and I had a spring rifle, but it was powerful and I got in a few hits.  Me and Kelsey were on one team; Nick and Erin were on the other.  During the game, I somehow managed to hit the scope of Erin’s sniper, and it cracked the glass.  All in all, it was great running around and hiding behind trees.  I only got hit once in the pinky.

During the final game, my friend let me use his gas pistol, and it was the first time I’d ever used one.  About  ten minutes in, I pulled out the pistol, knowing I only had about 12 shots in it.  I hit Nick a couple times, then went after Erin.  I got him once, after which he screamed, “He has the pistol!” and he started to run, and I got him a few times in the back and Nick once or twice more.  They both opted to end the game at that, and I felt good for causing that.  The moral of the story is that gas pistols can trump airsoft rifles in some cases, as long as you use it right!
