Airsoft is a relatively new sport that is continuing to evolve, and there is no telling what the future holds for it.  From just the few things I have read about what is to come, it is pretty cool.  One of the things have been hybrid airsoft guns, which are advanced products that function like real guns because they use shells.  Obviously they are still much less powerful and use plastic pellets, but nonetheless they are cool.

But think about the potential for advancement in the future.  Who knows just how crazy things will get?  I was watching Kickass earlier tonight and the guy used a jetpack to take down some thugs, and in the future maybe their will be easy to use, proprietary flying devices so people can have sky battles.  Perhaps that may be thinking a little too much into the clouds, but what people thought was impossible 100 years ago is now widespread reality today.

I imagine that airsoft guns will also be much cheaper and affordable.  This is important because it will enable more people to get in the game and experience the fun and joy of an exciting airsoft battle.
