The noble AK-47 is one of my favorite guns of all time.  It is recognized the world over and is remarkably simple with only about a dozen and a half moving parts.  It is for this reason that the AK-47 is used in rural and poor regions, in addition to the fact it is remarkably durable.  An AK can lay under sand for days or weeks on end, then be picked up and ready for use immediately.  Even much more expensive weapons do not have this durability, but the AK-47 really is something special.

On a personal note, I was playing Call of Duty: Modern Warware 3 yesterday, and it was one of the best MW3 gaming sessions I’ve had in my life.  And I credit that to using an AK-47 and being extremely confident in my fighting style.  It was pretty intense and I’m hoping to get some more time in on Friday.  Should be awesome!
