You do not see many books about airsoft that often, but believe me, they are out there.  And there are actually quite a few benefits to sitting down and reading about airsoft.  For one, these books are not very widespread, and it is rare that you will come across opponents who have read the same thing as you (or any book related to airsoft, for that matter).  You can gain a lot of valuable tactics that no one else knows about, and having this knowledge can provide an immense advantage in any airsoft game.

For example, one very interesting book I came across was Paintball and Airsoft Battle Tactics. Now I know the title leads off with “Paintball”, but there is a lot of great airsoft information as well. And when it comes to battle tactics, paintball and airsoft are virtually the same. This is a full-length, 128-page book filled with tips and strategies in every chapter, and is definitely worth a lot more than the measly $14.92 it is priced at. It’s Amazon rank speaks for itself, as this is the 7th most popular book in the “Extreme Sports” category (it’s also in the Top 60 for the Shooting and Sports Reference categories).

If you really want to take your airsoft game to the next level, you need more than practice and physical training. You need to have working knowledge in your mind about what to do in various situations. That’s why in sports you are hearing more and more about the intelligence of players, and all sports teams have basic intelligence tests the players must take. Do not underestimate the power of the mind in airsoft, as it is often the difference between consistent winning or losing.
