It seems that the end of summer is upon us. While the actual close of the summer is September 23, this is the important closer that matters to most people, at least where students are concerned. Most people, including me, are going back to school on August 30th.
As I said in my “Beginning of Summer” post, I’m not revealing what year of college I’m in, but all you need to know is I’m going back to University of Maryland, College Park. It is going to be good, and it really gives me a place to spread the good word about airsoft and how to get started in it.

Anybody got any ideas about a good theme change to add to the site? I think it would be pretty cool to change things up. If you have any ideas, send them to me at justin@eastcoastairsoft.com.

They say that meteors have nothing to do with airsoft… and I completely agree. But nonetheless, the annual Perseid Meteor Shower on the night of August 12 is an important part of my life, and it should be of yours as well. Sure, I’ve missed it the last four years because of unfortunate occurrences, but the time I did see them, it was incredible. So every year I try and try, and fail… and try again. Never give up!

Have you ever wanted to hone your airsoft marksmanship by shooting at a target? How about taking things to the next level and jumping to a moving target. To simulate what you would experience in a real airsoft game, where people unfortunately do not stand in one place and assume the shape of a perfect circle, we have a new Echo1 Moving Target. While it is not completely realistic, like what you could gain from the use of an advanced holographic 3D imaging system, it should be enough to help you become a better shooter.

We are going to be officially launching a new website soon that is focused exclusively on outdoor gear, including gloves, pants, jackets, military and law enforcement accessories, and other things of the like. We used to have some of that stuff on here, but since there is just so much of it, we figured it would be great to dedicate an entire website to this merchandise. I guarantee you will be satisfied with the selection on this new business!

We have recently broken a personal record by getting 1,000 hits a day. It is not consistent yet, but it will be soon, and then things will be really great around here. That’s 30,000 unique hits a month, and to a mundane, lifeless webmaster like me, that’s the equivalent of seeing your child born before your eyes.

Today I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the site, and noticed there was some quite outdated news there back from November. Sorry I didn’t catch it before, but I have now updated the two boxes there so they reflect more current information. My only hope is that my error has not caused widespread panic across the greater Eastern portion of the United States.

We have really great news on our end… we have recently acquired SYSTEMA as a supplier of airsoft guns. This is one of the most prestigious names in the airsoft industry, although they are not as well known as the likes of Classic Army, they produce better airsoft guns. The thing about them is their prices are ridiculously expensive, but that is because these airsoft products are not normal. They are the most prestigious items in the market, and are honestly targeted at purely professional players.
I look forward to seeing who ends up picking some of these up. It is going to be interesting indeed, and I guarantee you will be satisfied by the remarkable power and abilities of these high-end airsoft rifles and pistols.

Before I begin, I would like to clarify that by magazine, I mean the type that you use to hold pellets in and load into your airsoft gun, not an actual reading magazine. I’m sure you could have figured that out, but I’m the kind of person who likes to point out the obvious.
In any case, I have recently made updates to the airsoft magazine products so that customers can more easily find what they are compatible with. This should make things easier for everybody, and if you have any suggestions about how to improve the pages even further, I would love to hear your feedback!
